Republic Day is a National Event in which that country came with its own constitution. In some countries, it is known as National Day or Proclamation Day, or by some other sort of name.
Republic Day is one of the most important national events for India and its citizens. It is the day when the Constitution of India came into force in 1950 on the 26th of January. The Constitution of India was adopted on the 26th of November in 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. However, it came into effect on the 26th of January in 1950. This date was chosen to adopt the Indian Constitution as the Declaration of Indian Independence (means Purna Swaraj). So this date gets celebrated every year since 1950 and will be continued in the future forever to honor and to remember the occurrence of the Indian Constitution.
A grand parade is held in New Delhi at Rajpath by the Indian army to pay honor to the Indian Flag. It involves the demonstration of specialties by the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, traditional dance troupes by Indian states, cultural activities by the students, etc.
A floral tribute is performed by the Indian Prime Minister at the Amar Jawan Jyoti, India Gate to pay honor to and remember those great soldiers who died for their country. A Salute is given to India’s president by the Indian military during the parade.
This day is celebrated by the students and teachers in the school through lots of creative activities like parades, dance, singing, speech recitation, essay writing, drama play, sports, and academic activities, etc.
